Electron transport in low-dimensional materials, nanoscale device fabrication techniques
Wang is interested in the behavior of a variety of new nanoscale materials when one of their dimensions is reduced to the single atomic thickness limit. Wang’s group develops the state-of-the-art nanotechniques to isolate various single atomic layer materials, manipulate and assemble them into novel device architectures to investigate their unconventional electronic, optical, magnetic and mechanical properties. His research leads to applications in energy harvesting, valleytronics, THz far-infrared detection and biological sensing.
