Honors Program

The Department of Materials Science & Engineering offers an Honors Program to a select group of students from  its undergraduate program. Although the program begin in its second year, the focus of the program is undergraduate research starting in the junior year, which provides the basis for an undergraduate thesis that is prepared in the senior year. The research results are also presented at the annual Undergraduate Research Conference at UC Davis. The research, thesis, and presentation are prepared in consultation with a faculty member from the Department. A list of students, projects and advisors for projects beginning in Spring 2012 is shown below.
