Meet Friends, Faculty and Materials Science and Engineering Professionals
The Material Advantage Student Chapter (MASC) is a national student organization run by some of the leading professional materials societies in the world, including the American Ceramic Society (ACerS), the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST), ASM International and the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS). The UC Davis chapter provides undergraduate students with access to professional and academic resources from these organizations. Students from all majors are encouraged to participate.
We really enjoy going on tours of national labs and companies in our area, collaborating with other engineering clubs and societies on campus, and inviting MSE professors to present about their research! You can also catch us putting on a materials magic show on Picnic Day.
