Group III-nitride semiconductors, defects, microstructure

Mahajan’s research group is focused on understanding the interrelationship between structure and properties in semiconductors, as well as deformation behavior of solids. They are interested in the origins and reduction of threading dislocations in group III-nitride layers, microstructures of mixed III-nitride layers and how defects affect device behavior.
