Prof. Castro and Team’s Work Selected for Featured Article and Cover Image in April’s Journal of the American Ceramic Society

castro-nanoparticles-stableProf. Castro and his team have focused for years on a thermodynamic description of two problems traditionally considered more fundamentally kinetically controlled: nanostability and sintering. Their paper on the subject, “Nanostability and Sintering: The Thermodynamic Perspective,” presents a review on the energetic effect of dopants on the stability of nanoparticles and on densification process of ceramics. The community acknowledged their work by selecting it as a Feature Article and cover image for one of the most respected journals in the field. Read the article at
